Zpacks Duplex Classic tent - is a lightweight, ultralight backpacking tent designed for outdoor enthusiasts aiming to minimize weight while maintaining comfort and protection. Zpacks is renowned for producing high-quality ultralight gear, and the Duplex tent stands as one of their premier offerings.

This two-person, single-wall tent is tailored for three-season use (spring, summer, and fall) and boasts a unique hybrid single/double-wall design. Crafted from Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF), previously known as Cuben Fiber, the tent's main body offers exceptional waterproofing, durability, and an incredibly low weight, making it ideal for ultralight backpacking shelters. With floor dimensions of approximately 228.6 cm in length and 114.3 cm in width, and a peak height of 121.9 cm at the center, it offers ample space for two adults and their gear. The tent's total weight is a mere 525 g, which includes guy lines, sewn-in linelocs, taped seams, and a stuff sack. Each tent also includes a piece of repair tape and two spare zipper sliders.

Ventilation is a highlight of the Duplex tent, featuring large, integrated mesh doors on both sides and peak vents. These doors can be rolled up and secured, allowing for maximum airflow in warm weather and minimizing condensation inside the tent. The tent's dual-entry design, with doors on each side, provides convenient access for both occupants without disturbing one another. The doors can be rolled back and secured for easy entry and exit.

Setting up the Duplex tent is a straightforward process and can be achieved using trekking poles or optional carbon fiber tent poles. It utilizes a simple single-pole design, with two main arches formed by the poles.

Additional features encompass built-in mosquito netting on the doors and windows to keep insects at bay, bathtub-style flooring for enhanced rain protection, and DCF fabric known for its durability and resistance to stretching and sagging, ensuring a taut pitch even in adverse weather conditions. The tent can also be customized with additional accessories like a groundsheet or vestibule for extra gear storage.

One of the primary advantages of the Duplex tent is its compact pack size. It can be easily folded and stowed in a small stuff sack, making it an excellent choice for backpackers seeking to conserve space in their packs.

The tent package includes: guylines, sewn in linelocs, taped seams, and a stuff sack. 8x Stakes are required but are not included, ultralight stakes.

MATERIAL: .55 oz/sqyd (blue and olive) or .75 oz/sqyd (spruce green) Standard Dyneema® Composite Fabric

Dyneema® Composite Fabric has several advantages over other materials:

  • High strength to weight ratio – the material can handle high wind force and does not tear easily.
  • Chemical free, PFC free
  • Waterproof – there is no DWR or coating to worry about wearing out. The material will not absorb significant water that will add water weight to your pack
  • Stretch-free – the tent will stay taut all night. Nylon material by comparison can stretch and sag, especially if it gets wet.
  • Taped seams – our seams are sewn for strength then taped water tight. The tie outs have bonded reinforcements for high strength. No seam sealing will be necessary!
  • Easily repairable – Any damage can easily be fixed in the field with our Dyneema® Composite Fabric Repair Tape.
  • This tent is semi-transparent. In bright sunlight, a fuzzy silhouette of a person sitting inside the tent would be visible, but you cannot see any details. It has a suitable amount of privacy for changing clothes.
  • In lower light (such as in the evening or at night), you cannot see through at all. Another nice thing about this material is that you can see the outlines of trees and your surroundings for a more immersed outdoor experience.

TOTAL WEIGHT:
507 g / 17.9 oz includes guy lines, sewn in linelocs and taped seams.

A piece of repair tape and two spare zipper sliders are included with each tent. Your choice of canopy material will change the total weight.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
